I'm 46 years old and I used to be a passionate neurosurgeon, spending countless hours for taking care of brain tumour patients and for exploring the mechanics of human brain with an insatiable curiosity.
I decided to start blogging, initiating my therapy, as many of my comtemporaries do. This chronicle will deal with "coups de gueule", "coups de fatigue", "coups de chapeau", "coups de coeur", "coups d'essai", "coups de maître", "coups de théâtre", thus reporting both the worst and the best events I encounter in my professional activities. There will be two broad categories of posts: highly specific comments about published papers or meetings' talks, and more general notes, dealing with the dark side of the current way of doing science.
In our time obsessed with the appearance of truth rather than truth itself, I thought that a critical view from the inside would help to change some day the way we are leading our legitimate quest of building new knowledge and providing the best care to brain tumour patients.
